Can you feel the heartbeat in my lips?
Can you see the smile in my eyes?
Can you hear the laughter in my soul?
Can you sense the future in our lives?
Does my name roll off your tongue, like rain on a leaf?
Does the wind whisper everything that you mean to me?
Does the sky spell my love in the clouds above so high?
Does the sun illuminate my heart, and the sparkle in my eye?
Does my touch bring back everything that you’ve ever known?
Are you hoping that what we have, will have the chance to grow?
Oh you don't even know….

I know all the things that happened.
The past that does now haunt.
But whatever came before that,
brought me all that I could want.
And I thank whoever helped me
along the way I see.
Whatever you have done,
has forever changed me.
The doors that were once locked,
have been smashed down to the ground.
I’ve seen a light that lights the dark,
I feel the magic round.
I sense the smell of freedom
and a hunger that shall gain.
I can hear the bells all ringing
at the hinting of your name.
That voice that whispers to me,
please take me away.
Has come and come again
at the starting of each day.
And the night I lay a lone and sleep,
and while a sad song plays.
The only symphony I hear
are the ones that you play.

Nothing can compare
to that warmth and lingering scent.
And I know wherever you came from,
it must be heaven sent.
I think someone’s watching,
and they heard the call I made.
I did whatever was the right thing,
and I got a prize in pay.
The prize is not a trophy,
for that would be too dull.
Instead the prize I got was you,
and of it, I love it all.
If the rose petals fall
against the sheets one night at dark,
then I shall not refuse it,
instead I’ll run right to your arms.
In the moon I shall become someone
I never thought I’d be.
And I’ll thank the Lord above
that he has sent you me.
And I hope from that point on
the love can see no end.
I need you,
I love you,
my lover,
my best friend.

Life's Little Treasures

"The hours I spend with you I look upon as sort of a perfumed garden, a dim twilight, and a fountain singing to it. You and you alone make me feel that I am alive. Other men it is said have seen angels, but I have seen thee and thou art enough."
~George Edward Moore
