It was my world of fantasy, crazy but divine,
I wove dreams with fleecy clouds and threads of gold.
It was perfect for we sailed on tranquil seas throughout all time
On oceans of my bliss till shipwrecked in pain so cold.

Was I so naïve to believe that you could ever want me?
Did you have to fool me thoughtlessly to suit yourself alone?
Couldn't you see without your eyes there was feeling deep within me
And respect that sacred love instead of driving me insane?

So tell me why you love her with the passion that you do?
Can my idol be so foolish without reason I must ask?
I despise her with a jealousy that tears my soul apart
Awaken to reality, she only wears a mask!

Love me, please just hold me for a minute of your time,
And take away the heaviness that weighs up upon my mind.
I cannot change your feelings, and I cannot change myself,
Memories are painful, but are all that I have left...
