She moves the hands of the clock forward with her feet.
Outcries of babies and bridegrooms fizzle at her lips as tears lick her face.
A personal phoenix scorches her now barren womb, trying to restore its use.

Her hands, chained by parental lies, tear at her chest
to free her warrior soul.
Her eyes defy death and anything else that would chain her.
Lost in the stars they echo truths that no one else can know.
