my eyes were not born
until the sight of you
my soul did not exist
until the presence of you
oh you, you charming being
my heart flutters
and bursts into purple and gold flames
i'm overcome wtih a sweet and rare emotion
my heart, oh my heart
all i ask is for you to never forget me
and if i write you poems
of forbidden emotions
read them
read them gently with your soul.
and if i go away.
never forget me.
for i will never forget you
your grapefruit colored lips
your iris colored skin.
woman, if i ever disappear
even for a moment,
even for a day, promise to never forget me
for i will never forget you
i shall never forget any part of you.
Greiby Medina
We swallow greedily any lie that flatters us, but we sip only little by little at a truth we find bitter.
~Denis Diderot
