I fear the way you love me:
That tender-touching kiss
Seducing me to nightly
Sink deep in your abyss.

Those smooth caresses take me
To places that I dread,
Your cunning fingers rouse me
To plan such lies ahead.

So while we writhe and tumble
In lust's hypnotic hold,
I fear that final stumble
That sees the truth unfold.

"Man is free; yet we must not suppose that he is at liberty to do everything he pleases, for he becomes a slave the moment he allows his actions to be ruled by passion."
-Giacomo Casanova

It waits— for my return or my annihilation?
Know not, but it waits there, beyond darkness
As I walk with my lethargic soul,
Beyond mystique sensation and tremor within…
Falls on me and burns my body,
Each droplet of heaven’s nectar;
For world ‘tis beautiful
But for me, ‘tis very hurtful…
Heart is a lost chamber, where an abyss dwells
And gulps everything within,
Dusk besieges the world,
But overwhelms my souls,
Makes it a hole,
And I just walk and walk without the knowledge…
Knows not, my psyche, where it’s taking me,
And I realize this, only when I fall,
And get hurt, and bleed profusely!

"But now I have come to believe that the whole world is an enigma, a harmless enigma that is made terrible by our own mad attempt to interpret it as though it had an underlying truth."

Windswept meadows delivering promise,
Pewter blades have no effect,
Overpowered by sheer beauty,
Was more that he could expect.
Eyes gaze at themselves,
Sauntering off into the blue,
Withholding all that is good,
Remembering all that was true.
Drifting slowly into a fairy tale,
Sparrow breaks the silence,
Living in the moment,
Thunder now heard in the distance.
Tumblers coming to the forefront,
Time seems to stand still,
Lights flash with horror,
Spine starts to tingle, body starts to chill.
