His deep expressions of love for her would be his worldly gifts,
Beyond her...he had always had a higher purpose,
To give freely to all with an open heart,
To prove that love was real,
To show others how much a man can love a woman,
To bare his heart and soul to all and without restraint.
To reveal to them his complete devotion to her.
He would become her ever loving poet,
Her best friend.
The man who loved her the most.
And she would become his most beautiful work of art,
His eternal inspiration,
His masterpiece...

Dan Nelson

shadows aggravate

my heart,

love seems so far away --

so far, so far

and i am lost

beneath the blue veil

of my dreams

i'll linger awhile,

torn, lost without

everything

i never actually knew yet

fantasied of

constantly

no matter how

elegance no longer laces

through all i once held near

i'll wander through and search

for you

'til breath becomes the chill

the air accumulates through

its pale frigidness and

tears fall while

memories loom

i'll sit here and watch

the craving earth

endure

the fragmented rain

and want more

to escape

my very breath of life

ever... and again

Robert Anderson

emotion escapes from what was just
a love-lit haven --
darkness bequeaths sufficiently,
like as all my embracing thoughts,
to drown the surrendering earth
tonight

it moans for you,
oh, for how eloquence formalizes in
the way you've expired
[as all angels know]
that unforgiving puddles articulate their sting
from the windows of my own secret-self
while i aim to glance meagerly
into your depth

dreams aren't enough
yet all i have to ever hold you anymore
as you lay appealingly amid the bed we made
breathing in your satisfaction
for how you graced such denouement into light

i yearn you again-- have always yearned you and pray
it is enough to ever take you in

because until the day i die
i'll ever confide in only you...
your beauty: my aphrodisiac

and i swear i love you.

Robert Anderson

what else does a man need to be happy?
- Albert Einstein

I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times...
In life after life, in age after age, forever.
My spellbound heart has made and remade the necklace of songs,
That you take as a gift, wear round your neck in your many forms,
In life after life, in age after age, forever.

Whenever I hear old chronicles of love, it's age old pain,
It's ancient tale of being apart or together.
As I stare on and on into the past, in the end you emerge,
Clad in the light of a pole-star, piercing the darkness of time.
You become an image of what is remembered forever.

You and I have floated here on the stream that brings from the fount.
At the heart of time, love of one for another.
We have played along side millions of lovers,
Shared in the same shy sweetness of meeting,
the distressful tears of farewell,
Old love but in shapes that renew and renew forever.

Today it is heaped at your feet, it has found its end in you
The love of all man's days both past and forever:
Universal joy, universal sorrow, universal life.
The memories of all loves merging with this one love of ours -
And the songs of every poet past and forever.

Rabindranath Tagore

I was in your kiss
It made me a princess of your carmine dreams
It dressed me in a rose's scent
It ornamented my love's beads

I wandered through your lips
They made me a fairy tale of your wonderland
They opened so many reddish pages
They led my lips' blissful steps

I found your heart
a small wonder with a huge feeling
a strong breath with a delightful breeze
a bouquet of kindness with a love ribbon

unfathomable
or so they say when i recite
each droplet of beauty i found deep
in your gilded soul

'til a smidgen of high finds my heart
while goose bumps
trace the depthlessness of my skin;
the very rock i knew and depended on
still remains only
you

and all my dreams lingered until...
oh, until you became
vacantly silent and refused
to tell me why; your blushing lips
closed tightly to the world

still i'll kiss you gently on your forehead
then whisper to you of our romance
so that it echoes throughout your
sweet breath of life, dear lover

it's crazy how easily someone so blameless,
so soothing, and fragile
could be lured into unhappy shadows

why didn't you tell me?
i couldn't have possibly
read your mind

but i watched as the blue devils
that haunted your thoughts
prodded through
then found the flaws which adorned
the nakedness of your secret self

i miss you and still
see us dancing in the rain,
my heart was more restless then
you became the voice that resonated in me...
do you remember?

but now as i sit here wondering if you hear me
i ponder whether or not
to expel my red essence
and if that could save me from this
hurt... the blade looks so, so friendly now

and while i quietly trace along the verge
of these mangled veins
my eyes let loose my teary spirit
and gift me with absolutely no previous comfort

'i love you...' is all i sense i can utter
as my fingers tangle violently
in my oily raven hair

and so, i do through the intensities of it all...
i love you and
that is all there is.

Robert Anderson

undying angel, my sweetest gift,
there are no shadows that can veil you away from me

for how easily you have ever,
ever reduced me softly to my secret self
through tears of joy and of no sweeter sorrow
than how my lips remain ungifted
to touch your very own

i have vowed to love you... secretly;
you, my beautiful Moira...

and i truly, truly do.

By: Charles A. Louis, Jr.

She sat on the bench across the way,
The sun shining upon her face;
The wind caressing her hair as it sways.
Looking voluptuous and precious, she was full of grace.
She stole my breath, as she turned and looked my way,
She smiled at me, her lips so graciously full with radiance.
I felt hypnotized by her beauty, seduced by her angelic fragrance.
With one look in her eyes, she stole my heart as, to her sweet temptation, I fell prey.

I found myself dreaming, as if it was night.
The sweetest dream, from which I wish I would never wake.
I fell paralyzed by her defined curves, such a wonderful sight.
I wish I could hold her in my arms, until my last breath, I take.

In my mind, quietly to her, I whisper:
“I would love to shower you with many sweet words,
Worship the ground you walk on,
Fill your heart with a love that’s everlasting;
I’d give anything to just spend one second of a minute of an hour with you...
To fall asleep lost in your eyes,
To wake up in the morning, to your smile.
A glorious day, a glorious dream,
A fantasy in dire need of reality;
As I look at you from afar, as the birds chirp in the distance,
With you, to just one song, I would love to dance.”

But then he came to you and embraced you.
I suddenly realized, a princess as precious as you, surely already had her knight.
Yet, you still found a way to look at me, and smiled.
He held your hand, as you walked away in perfect stride.

As I reminisce on that warm summer day,
On my mind and in my heart you’ll always stay.
As I dream of you once more,
In my heart, you will always remain;
As I will never let go of the sweet memory of you.
For, an angel like you comes only once in a lifetime...

For your kiss, I will always long
Your touch I will always crave.
But reality sets in, and I realized, once more, as close as you seem to be,
Your love I’ll never have.
And just like the northern star in the sky,
You are my unreachable star.

If today was the last time I'd have to look into your eyes,
I would gaze into the windows to your soul, forevermore;
As I engrave my name with everlasting ink onto your heart.

If today was the last time I'd have to hug you,
I would take all the time I'd have to hold you near;
As I wish time never ends, to forever hold and cherish your warm embrace.

If today was the last time I'd have to kiss you,
I would take all the time I'd have to press my lips against yours,
So I can savor your divine ecstasy for more than an eternity.

If today was the last time I'd get to see your smiling face,
I would take all the time I'd have to enjoy every second of it,
As I would cherish that moment forevermore deep within my restless heart.

If today was the last time I'd get to talk to you,
I would take all the time I'd have to say all the words always gone unspoken,
As I would hold your hand, feeling your touch, so soft and tender.

If today was the last time I'd get to be with you,
I would take all the time I'd have to do all the things ever gone undone,
As I would express in them how much I love and cherish you.

If today was the last time I'd get to see you cry,
I would take all the time I'd have to wipe your tears away,
As I would promise to love you forevermore with a love that's here to stay.

If today was the last day of my mere existence,
I would want to spend all the time I'd have with no one else but you;
So that, as I take my last breath, I can rest in your warm embrace just one more time.

she is my everlasting obsession
i could love her as though
i were existing as her favorite flower

she would never bear to see my soul wither
and beheld by her meticulous eyes
i would be the one
who'd brighten her day

my obsession
whose smile can place the sun's brilliance
into such shame that sweet heaven's angels would weep

her heart is perfectly divine
and when she speaks it dear Euterpe
becomes envious of the music
that echoes

she is my everlasting
obsession...

They took your wings
and expected that you
would no longer
be an angel

How wrong
could they get?

You are the angel
that changed evil
into mitzvah.

You are the archetype
of good with a hint
of mischief.

You are holy
without being
worshipped

You are loved
without lust

You are my wife
my friend
my betrothed

How could
I help but
love you?

When flowers were
in full bloom,
I first saw you.
You were more beautiful
than any blossom
in any garden,
in any city,
in any state,
in any continent,
in any planet,

you were more beautiful __

When wildflowers sweetened
the bee laden days,
and sudden northern winds
blew those strange Saturdays
into so many lost Sundays,
I danced like a dervish
whirling, whirling
till flames burned
above my head -

And though you laid with me,
your heart walked
down a narrow road
to a temple in the east
never to return,
and I denied the ghost,
lost myself -

And in the evening light,
I sat in a pasture
with a thousand bluebells
and waited for the stars,
and in the night
the cosmos dark daggers
shredded my heart,
and I hung naked
on the North Star
and wept -

Still,
I thought,
You were more beautiful
than any blossom
in any garden,
in any city,
in any state,
in any continent,
in any planet,

you were more beautiful__

mesmerized,
i'm lost in a dream where
she stands against the midnight sky

her breath... betrayed by how the touch
of winter arouses the delectable air
across the slender light of the moon

and oh, as i watch her
she looks off into the distance
from where she will ever be--
this appertaining apparition.

i cannot help
but to fall utterly in love because
that moment, acquainted with my soul,
draws from me an undying urge:
to know her flawless essence.
