Softly with discretion, one night,
A kiss had been given unto me.
A kiss from a fantasy, a kiss from my love.
And every time I close my eyes,
I wonder what it would be like to love you again.

Thereafter, on some lonely night,
Suffering from the delights of memories,
I think about the one whom, at the lost hours,
Made love to me; a time so far gone.

I reminisce those empty nights,
Where love had just been a fantasy,
Fantasy of wonders, wonders of passion.
I reminisce that empty night,
When, obsessively, you made love to me.

Tonight, let’s make it a night to remember.
Let’s make tonight, a night filled with passion, filled with love.
A love that will be the testimony of a lover’s fantasy,
A fantasy so long gone with the wind of emotions.

Caring and loving from deep within,
Always there through thick and thin.
Encouraging you to be yourself,
Knows you better than anyone else.

..

No need for you to be on guard,
Here you will never be barred.
No matter how long it has been,
Greeted as if always seen.

..

In your youth it's easy to forget,
Don't do things you may regret.
Both love and hate are at times blind,
Being around family clears your mind.

..

Preventing you from many a vice,
Counsel they give may not be nice.
Advice given is always good,
May take awhile to be understood.

..

No matter what you do or say,
Supporting you always every day.
Don't ever take them for granted,
Their opinion will not be slanted.

..

Love like this you will only find,
When you have a family you call mine.
Time with them is always well spent,
Respect and love are ever present.

..

Joyous memories being debated,
As new ones are being created.
Reminiscing about the past,
Wishing it would forever last.

..

Just remember and never forget,
Unconditional love is what you get.
Always there through thick and thin,
Caring and loving from deep within.

..

One heavy foot
In front of the other
Strong with purpose
My mind is clear.

-

Disturb me
One knuckle at a time
Levels are secure
Fire drips, liquids burn.

-

Tired of being second best
I am a goddess
Waiting to be loved
Like all the rest.

-

Drape me in kisses
Swallow my breath
Weighted down by your pain
This, I must overcome.

-

Jaw gripped
Awkward stance
How can I make
Myself eat your lies.

-

Fast approaching age
Just settled into thirty
I’d like to stay here
Awhile longer.

-

I need to feel you
All of you
I want to know you
You want to know me too.

-

I don’t want to live this life
I’m tired
There is nothing more
For me to feel.

-

Knowing I’m not
Prepared on my own
I call out to the Lord,
Father, provide me hope.

If today was the last time I'd have to look into your eyes,
I would gaze into the windows to your soul, forevermore;
As I engrave my name with everlasting ink onto your heart.

If today was the last time I'd have to hug you,
I would take all the time I'd have to hold you near;
As I wish time never ends, to forever hold and cherish your warm embrace.

If today was the last time I'd have to kiss you,
I would take all the time I'd have to press my lips against yours,
So I can savor your divine ecstasy for more than an eternity.

If today was the last time I'd get to see your smiling face,
I would take all the time I'd have to enjoy every second of it,
As I would cherish that moment forevermore deep within my restless heart.

If today was the last time I'd get to talk to you,
I would take all the time I'd have to say all the words always gone unspoken,
As I would hold your hand, feeling your touch, so soft and tender.

If today was the last time I'd get to be with you,
I would take all the time I'd have to do all the things ever gone undone,
As I would express in them how much I love and cherish you.

If today was the last time I'd get to see you cry,
I would take all the time I'd have to wipe your tears away,
As I would promise to love you forevermore with a love that's here to stay.

If today was the last day of my mere existence,
I would want to spend all the time I'd have with no one else but you;
So that, as I take my last breath, I can rest in your warm embrace just one more time.

Pink, mottled skin so warm and soft, smooth against my face,
Bright blue eyes peering up at me, round as gleaming moons.
Tiny button nose, rosebud mouth that gamely tries to smile,
Soft, brown, feathery hair that will be grown in just a while.

One day baby takes her first steps, grinning so wide in glee!
Hands waving wildly in the air, proud as she can be.
Calling out in baby language, “Mommy look at me!”
As she walks away from me tears fall, and though I smile I cannot see.

Happy toddler years of games, playdates and Barney on TV,
Baby plays with toys and books, crawls in and out of tents.
Begins to feed and bathe herself, lays down at night to sleep,
As she says sweet prayers my tears fall, and though I smile I cannot see.

My big girl rides to school with me on her shiny, new, pink bike,
Today starts Kindergarten, and independence waves its flag.
Gives a precious kiss and waves, “Love you Mommy, wait for me!”
As she rushes off to class tears fall, and though I smile I cannot see.

My darling now plays basketball, and even soccer too,
She dresses up in cleats and jersey, long hair in a braid.
I fiercely yell and wave her on to a major victory,
As she scores her first big goal tears fall, and though I smile I cannot see.

My angel entered high school today, that big, exciting place,
The girls there dress in little shorts and t-shirts bedecked in beads.
I see a boy wave to her, without a backward glance she flees,
She laughs as she runs toward him, they kiss under the tree.
My tears softly begin to fall, and though I smile I cannot see.

pondering
in an empty room,
i bleed my soul into another
vague possibility

the buttermilk skies
paint a beautiful scene while
the sleepy sun gleams one last time
into this sacrificial prison

confusion swells while
binding me to my most distant
haunting moment:
the night
she lifted the veil from my
fragmented heart.

shadows
make an effort to silence
the echo and yet,
it looms undyingly of consent

i sense i've now become
what i feared the most

vacant.

How others thought I could never think
my thoughts being far from civilization's sanity brink;
Like others felt I could rarely feel
My joys far away from cultures appeal

The sun was always only half seen,
and dried the mornings summer dew
By ways of others, thrilled I have few times been,
since adolescence I slept through nights very few

Bewildered and rather poignant was my atmosphere;
the inquiry how to handle; my conscious was not sincere
Though in trance like state of the inevitable I sought refuge
Bizarre, shaky was my resolve; drown I would in its deluge

The shore of the sea kept restricted cool sand
as I stood in them, my soul finally begun to stand
I wonder why when the waters hit my feet,
I looked at the ocean, the sheltered land may have felt defeat

For long the land struggled, for me to be stable
But now I knew it was the ocean I would always resemble
The land burned from mores at the surface and ashes at the conscious core;
But the waters ran deep, alone, a cool, silent and mysterious store

Marcus Hades

The earth shakes
The moon walks
And the stars
Oh the stars shine

The clouds in
Colors so plain
Turn the darkest sky
To a lighter heaven above

They fly when the moon
Only walks
They draw near
As the stars twinkle
For the destined meeting

And the earth rumbles
When they amass
It seems they
The color within dull darkness
Burst and fight

Smaller things see
When they stare to
Witness the walking moon
And shining stars

As each come
A devil and dragon
Bewitching an angel with
Black wings

A bearded god carrying a wand
Long and thin
Drowns monsters
So ugly none could
Think gods created
Such things

In the starry sky
As the moon walks
Across dark, dull sky
Clouds rein above

Showing stories
Of battles
And struggles
Older than death

she is my everlasting obsession
i could love her as though
i were existing as her favorite flower

she would never bear to see my soul wither
and beheld by her meticulous eyes
i would be the one
who'd brighten her day

my obsession
whose smile can place the sun's brilliance
into such shame that sweet heaven's angels would weep

her heart is perfectly divine
and when she speaks it dear Euterpe
becomes envious of the music
that echoes

she is my everlasting
obsession...

my obsession

My hips lure your stare,

Excite you.

Step away from time,

Dance with me.

In your eyes I see desire

For me to hold your hands in mine

Whisper my fantasies into your ear

Press against your flesh.

In our stare the music fades

Everyone else disappears

Time stops.

You are here with me,

Me alone.

The beats continue to flow

Through our existence

Together our passion heats the room.

Run your hands through my locks

Gently wrap me around your body.

Melt into my eyes

I’ll never look away.

i am unsure,
unsure...
of where i am going

you... you're lucky
to have found someone

but sometimes the rivers
my tears have formed

in the abyss
where i have undone

your beautiful smile
oh, your bright lovely face

that once gave me the hope
that it would never fade

but somewhere my luck
had turned into ashes

and one day my luck
will grant a better day

so when you crawl your soul
to lie gently in bed

don't think about me
and all that i did
(all that i did)

'cause i tore the four leafs
off of your lucky clover

and i'm afraid of the truth
so i'll seldom be sober

again, when i think
without ever
knowing

that sometimes...
(oh, sometimes)
i am unsure
of where
i am
going

Robert Anderson
