Familiar music ripples and flows, sparkling upon me-
Tickles my shoulders softly like the tassels of a shawl,
Brushes my cheeks languidly with sweet, erotic fingers,
There is magic in remembering love's persistent call.

Memories, warm tidal waves bathe me in glittering delight-
Friends yet lovers-one beating heart, one fiercely steadfast mind.
As the notes of the violin soar unto the jeweled sky,
There glows our sweet silhouette, cheek to cheek in gold sunshine.

Grand piano and the violin merge in glorious concerto-
Two essential parts that only reach perfection joined as one.
Aching melody of the tune and the memories it brings,
The golden time of our love like the glittering sun has gone.

I miss the splendid symphony that was ours alone to know-
The perfect timing of two hearts, souls that fluttered side by side.
The harmony of two minds that knew each other’s thoughts,
Now this heart that has been ripped in two, has nowhere to abide.
