The life of a poet
Is as strange as can be
We often live in our heads you see
The words and sentences
Our best friends
Our thoughts and emotions we do send
In every work composed so fine
As people read between the lines
And escape into our vivid minds
Some think poetry is just rhyme
But the words that are written
Stand the test of time
They form the songs that we sing
And the quotes that apply to almost everything
They give our imagination wings
They let the reader see our soul
Through every post
Our emotions are told
The only sad thing
You're usually dead
Before your poetry is truly read
